Abstract

The study of the past is meaningful if the experiences of previous generations shed light on the present and the future. We cannot envision the future divorced from the past and the present; nor can we make sense of the present without reflecting on the past and anticipating the future. Especially today, as we seek a reconnection between humanity and nature, it is urgent to revalue ancestral wisdom, which reminds us that we still depend on this planet, while the planet does not depend on us.
