Abstract

This article explores creativity and aesthetics as spaces for play and resistance to the monotony of everyday life. Through reflection on the human capacity to dream and create, it is argued that creativity is not a result of formal education, but a process that is learned through living and manifests itself in the possibility of breaking with routine. It is argued that the creative act is a shortcut that allows us to reconnect with our essence and the capacity for wonder. This playful and aesthetic process is seen as an act of faith in the human capacity to build imaginative and supportive futures. The importance of recovering the childlike mentality and the sensitivity necessary to see beyond the obvious is highlighted, promoting a receptive openness to life in all its manifestations, and approaching the everyday in an extraordinary way.
