Abstract

This article examines José María Arguedas's Andean worldview through the lens of his use of dualistic play in his narratives. Clara Luz Zúñiga Ortega explores how Arguedas blends indigenous traditions with modern influences to create a literary world that reflects the tensions between tradition and modernity. Through a detailed reading of his works, the article reveals how Arguedas uses dualistic play not only as an aesthetic tool but also as a means to articulate the cultural and social complexities of his time. This approach provides a deeper understanding of how Arguedas conveys his vision of the Andean world.
