Abstract

Small Stories, by Hernán Jaramillo Cisneros, offers a detailed mosaic of the history of the Otavalo people through the minutes of the Cabildo from the end of the 19th century. The study reveals the social structure, interethnic relations and economic aspirations of the time, illustrating how local projects, such as fish farming, reflect both the optimism and the difficulties of the community in transition.
