Abstract

This article examines the "Pedagogy of the Subject" through the influences of phenomenology and existentialism in contemporary psychology and education. It highlights how these approaches, in contrast to behaviorism and positivism, have promoted a deeper understanding of subjectivity and the uniqueness of the human being. It focuses on humanistic pedagogy, inspired by Carl Rogers, which prioritizes the facilitation of student expression and personal development. It also addresses criticisms of non-directive pedagogy and suggests that effective education must integrate both personal expression and creativity into the educational process.
