Abstract

This article explores the frameworks for approaching the creative act from an anthropological perspective, focusing on the structure of the mind and its interaction with culture. It analyses how creativity, far from being an isolated phenomenon, is nourished by the symbolic systems that each culture privileges, influencing the development of different intellectual competences. Based on Howard Gardner's theories on multiple intelligences, it argues that creative potential is limited when formal education focuses exclusively on logic-mathematical and linguistic aspects, ignoring other forms of symbolization. Creativity manifests itself more easily in non-pedagogical contexts, such as popular art and the media, suggesting that educational approaches should be reconsidered to promote symbolic diversity. The article concludes that fostering these processes is essential for individuals to be able to fully realize themselves and enrich their cultural environment.
