Peer Review Policy

General Information

Before manuscripts are sent to peer reviewers, the publishing institution conducts a preliminary evaluation to ensure that the submissions are original and unpublished. For this purpose, Sarance uses Turnitin plagiarism detection software. In addition, each submission is checked for compliance with the stylistic and bibliographic standards established in the Publication Manual.

Sarance works with a pool of reviewers who specialize in a variety of fields relevant to the journal’s scope. However, before accepting a review assignment, reviewers must consider the following criteria:

1. Knowledge and Expertise: Reviewers must have proven expertise in the subject matter addressed by the manuscript.

2. Availability: A proper evaluation must be completed within the timeframe established by Sarance's editorial policy (submission of the evaluation report within 30 days).

3. Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline the invitation if any conflict of interest exists. This includes recognizing the author’s identity, having a close academic or personal relationship, belonging to the same institution, group, network, or project, having co-authored publications, or maintaining any connection that could imply partiality.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Selected reviewers must conduct their evaluations using the Reviewer Evaluation Form. The entire review process will be conducted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to preserve the anonymity of both reviewers and authors. By accepting the review assignment, reviewers agree to:
