Digital Preservation Policy

Preservation

Sarance Journal guarantees the digital preservation of all published articles, under the principles of: integrity, authenticity, inalterability, originality and accessibility. As part of its preservation policies, the following procedures are included: storage, encapsulation, self-documentation and self-sufficiency. Likewise, Sarance participates in reliable archiving systems: PKP Network, LOCKSS and CLOCKSS.

The preservation of the OJS platform is carried out periodically along with the institutional information backup process of the Otavalo Institute of Anthropology. This activity is the responsibility of the ICT Unit of the University of Otavalo.

In addition, the journal is maintained in a digital repository on the publisher's website (https://revistasarance.ioaotavalo.com.ec/index.php/revistasarance/issue/archive); that is, there is an updated and complete backup of the published journals. This work is carried out annually, as new issues are published.

Security and Integrity

There is a complete strategy to guarantee the security and integrity of the information stored by Sarance Journal, taking into account three aspects:

Hardware

Software

Others

Updates

The OJS platform administrator keeps content and announcements updated, journal presentation and periodic calls for article submissions.
