Focus and Scope
Revista Sarance is a scientific dissemination publication of the Instituto Otavaleño de Antropología, published since 1975. Since its creation, Sarance has sought to be a space for critical and interdisciplinary dialogue around classic and contemporary debates in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities.
In addition to being a dissemination space for IOA research, Revista Sarance is directed to the scientific community and to those interested in knowing, expanding, and updating theoretical debates and discussions around Social Sciences and Humanities. Revista Sarance receives works in Anthropology, Archaeology, Musicologies —Ethnomusicology, sound studies, historical musicology—, History, Sociology, Philosophy, Art Studies and Art History, Gender Studies, Political Sciences, Decolonial Studies, and other topics related to Social Sciences and Humanities.
Revista Sarance is a peer-reviewed publication that subjects its articles to a double-blind system (double peer review). This protocol not only guarantees the academic rigor of the journal, but has also allowed its indexing in directories and databases such as: Latindex, LatinRev, Road, CrossRef, MIAR.
Revista Sarance is published in print version (ISSN: 1390-9207) and digital version (e-ISSN: e-2661-6718).
