Abstract

This article explores the central role of myth and song in artistic and spiritual creation among Canelos women, highlighting how these elements are fundamental in the transmission of knowledge and traditions. Song, more than an artistic expression, is a sacred vehicle to communicate with the divine and preserve ancestral mythology. Through stories and songs inherited from Nunkui, the goddess of clay, women give life to their ceramics, imbuing them with spiritual power. This study reveals the intersection between gender, myth, and artistic creation in an Amazonian culture.
