Abstract

This article explores how folk art can be used as a pedagogical process to foster creativity in education. It analyses the epistemological foundations of constructivism, in particular the theory of Jean Piaget and the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, highlighting how these approaches allow for a deeper understanding of creativity as an inherent potential in all individuals. It proposes that integrating folk art into educational processes not only revitalizes this art form, but also enriches the learning experience by connecting students with their cultural environment and stimulating authentic and dynamic creativity.
