Abstract

This issue is organized into two sections: the first highlights the work of researchers affiliated with the Otavalo Institute of Anthropology, while the second compiles the papers presented at the Second Binational Creativity Seminar, organized by the IOA and the University of Nariño in May of this year. Additionally, it includes the call for the First Ecuadorian Congress of Anthropology, to be held in Quito from October 28 to 31, 1996, as well as the first informational bulletin of the 49th International Congress of Americanists, signed by Segundo Moreno Yánez, Executive Secretary of this important gathering.
