El marco social de las personas “económicamente desfavorecidas” se basa en la distinción entre un estatus conceptual de igualdad y la realidad de la discriminación y la desventaja. Este paradigma proporciona la lógica que rige tanto la crítica como la justificación del statu quo. Este artículo se pregunta si, y en qué medida, esta lógica de igualdad/antidiscriminación ha perdido su eficacia como herramienta crítica y cuál debería ser, de ser el caso, el fundamento de la lógica que la complemente o incluso la sustituya.
