Comunidad de Calpaqui: Tecnología utilizada actualmente por la familia rural y/o incorporación de tecnologías apropiadas

Resumen

This article analyses the use and development of technology in the community of Calpaquí, Ecuador, highlighting how local inhabitants adapt nature to meet their needs. Throughout history, human intelligence and skill have given rise to a wide range of tools and techniques, from agriculture to construction and livestock. Humans have evolved from primitive gatherers to sophisticated farmers and builders, adapting their environment through technological innovations. In Calpaquí, this evolution is seen in the use of traditional and modern methods for agricultural production and infrastructure construction. However, technological advances have also brought challenges, such as the destructive use of nuclear energy and social inequalities. This study highlights how the creativity and initiative of local farmers offer sustainable solutions to contemporary problems, showing a comprehensive approach to technological development and environmental preservation.
