Abstract
This article collects some of the most relevant written documents of the epistolary exchange between two important female protagonists of Ecuadorian literature such as Dolores Sucre and Zoila Ugarte. The documents testify to the close ties between two families of the time, the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. In addition, they tell of the sensitivity and poetic repertoires of both authors.
