Abstract
This work questions the existing definitions of interculturality. For this, it is proposed that it is necessary to begin to relate culture with economy, and to find in the latter one of the causes that explain the changes that occur in the different cultures of the world. It is necessary to understand cultures and interculturality in the light of the process of transfer and accumulation of cultural capital necessary and effective for the production of wealth and well-being, which requires a predisposition to change and an openness towards other cultures. An open culture is necessary. Therefore, it is necessary to think of an open interculturality, which includes the historical processes of other cultures in the world and of the same local experiences.
