Abstract
The article the bibliography cited in the Manual of Ethnoentomology (Manual de Etnoentomología) by Eraldo Medeiros Costa-Neto, seeking to analyze the publication habits of authors who have addressed the various relationships between human societies and insects. The corpus of texts accounts for a great variety of documentary typologies and disciplines in dialogue. However, there are trends inherent to what has been called the World Academic System. From here arises the need to reflect on these habits that hinder the dialogue of knowledge and taking on this topic from the realm of the social sciences.
